Construction Law Attorney

Sacks Tierney is seeking an attorney with 5-10 years of construction litigation and construction transactional experience to join our firm. Applicants must have excellent research, analytical, and writing skills; experience appearing and arguing before the court; drafting and responding to written discovery; and taking and defending depositions. Commercial Finance Attorney

Sacks Tierney is seeking an attorney with 2-7 years of commercial and/or public finance experience to join our firm as an associate or junior partner.  Applicants must have excellent training and experience in lending transactions including due diligence, drafting and negotiating loan documentation, and administering closings in one or more of the following areas: commercial, real estate, public finance, tribal finance, and/or project finance.  The attorney applicant must be licensed to practice in Arizona. Litigation Paralegal

Sacks Tierney is seeking a Litigation Paralegal to provide support for our Litigation Department with emphasis on e-discovery and other litigation functions, including drafting of discovery and responses, preparation and review of documents for production, support of complex litigation, performing legal research and analysis under direction of counsel, and organization and maintenance of legal files and databases.

Candidates must have a minimum of 5 years managing complex litigation matters and electronic discovery projects. Candidates must also have a strong understanding of legal issues related to electronic discovery. Strong technical knowledge and experience with the latest electronic discovery technology tools and standards as well as general information technology are a must.


    • Consult with attorneys to determine litigation support requirements and e-discovery needs.
    • Drafts discovery requests and responses, obtains documents and information responsive to discovery requests, and organizes documents for production.
    • Preparation and submission of pleadings, briefs, exhibits, disclosure statements, legal correspondence and other legal documents.
    • Responsible for organization and completeness of legal files. Prepares summaries and spreadsheets and other documents to assist in complex litigation management.
    • Prepares for and participates in preparing necessary forms and assembling exhibits for depositions and trials.
    • Determines and maintains priorities and deadlines and assures timely completion of tasks by tracking calendar deadlines and other case management dates.
    • Manage completion of discovery projects, including document review database management and other technology initiatives.
    • Track the export/import of electronically stored information.
    • Maintain accurate documentation for chain of custody litigation issues.
    • Assist in developing and maintaining best practice e-discovery procedures.


    • Paralegal Certificate strongly preferred OR Bachelor’s degree or commensurate experience required.
    • At least five years of experience in litigation support, e-discovery, document collection, analysis, export and assistance with all stages of discovery.
    • Experience with Case Notebook, iPro Eclipse SE, or similar e-discovery software products strongly preferred.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Outstanding organizational skills and the ability to prioritize high volume workload to meet deadlines.
    • Solid understanding of database design and management, data processing activities, and legal document review requirements.

Bankruptcy Paralegal

Sacks Tierney is seeking a full-time bankruptcy paralegal with a minimum of five years of experience needed for the firm’s expanding practice group. The ideal candidate will have experience in high-level business bankruptcy matters, including case intake, federal and state court filings, knowledge of Best Case bankruptcy software, strong communication skills, the ability to collaborate effectively with clients, attorneys, and staff; and the ability to self-manage and meet deadlines.


    • Perform the full range of paralegal tasks from case inception through case closure for Chapter 7, 11 and 13 bankruptcies.
    • Docket and monitor court and other case deadlines for the bankruptcy group.
    • With attorney direction, draft and prepare correspondence, objections, proofs of claims, notices, motions, bankruptcy pleadings, and other documents as necessary.
    • Electronically file documents with various courts (U.S. Bankruptcy, U.S. District Courts, and state courts)
    • Prepare files and notes for hearings.
    • Ability to conduct research using various research tools, including the Internet, Westlaw, Dunn & Bradstreet, Pacer, and Best Case Bankruptcy software.
    • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, iManage (or other DMS), and legal billing software.
    • Ability to manage multiple requests, assess priorities, and achieve solutions under deadlines.
    • High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
    • Excellent teamwork and a strong client service orientation.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a large caseload.
    • Perform administrative duties as assigned.
    • Flexibility to work occasional overtime.

Marketing Coordinator

Sacks Tierney is looking to hire a Marketing Coordinator. This position works closely with the Firm’s Executive Director, HR Director, and Managing Partner, as well as the 39 attorneys and their staff. As the Marketing Coordinator, you will oversee the development of various marketing projects related to legal marketing. From brand recognition and advertising for the Firm, to the individual marketing of attorneys and their practice areas, this position covers multiple platforms and aspects of marketing & advertising. Candidates must be professional, enthusiastic, driven, creative, highly skilled at writing and editing, organized, and great at multitasking.


    • Working on RFPs, attorney presentations, press releases, e-mail marketing blasts, newsletters, advertisements, and firm marketing collateral
    • Assisting attorneys with their individual marketing plans and business development initiatives
    • Creating and maintaining attorney online bios
    • Updating and maintaining the Sacks Tierney Website (WordPress)
    • Assisting attorneys with awards, recognition and submissions when applicable (Chambers and Partners, Best Lawyers, Super Lawyers, Martindale Hubbell, Ranking AZ, etc.)
    • Planning large and small events (networking, Firm, educational, CLE)
    • Working alongside the accounting staff and the Executive Director to keep the marketing budget up-to-date and assist attorneys with their budgets and objectives throughout the year
    • Working with vendors (promotional items, advertisements, tickets, etc.)
    • Executing all sponsorship elements and client events for the Firm and its individual attorneys
    • Maintaining the Firm’s social media accounts and posting engaging content when appropriate (Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram) and monitoring online review sites


    • B.A. in Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, Graphic Design or other related degree
    • 5+ years of previous marketing experience, preferably in a law firm setting
    • Must be highly proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Publisher
    • Must be highly proficient in Adobe Creative Suite
    • Highly proficient in WordPress
    • Social media experience a plus
    • Social Champ, and Constant Contact experience a plus
