In her Estate Planning and Probate, Trust Administration and Litigation practices, Mea has experience in preparing a variety of estate planning documents to fit clients’ needs, including wills and trusts, as well as health care and general powers of attorney. Mea has represented personal representatives in hearings and also represents heirs and beneficiaries in both probate and trust litigations.
In her Employment Law practice, Mea has assisted clients with harassment, discrimination, and retaliation claims under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the Arizona Civil Rights Act. She has also represented clients before the United States Equal Employment Opportunity Commission in a variety of employment matters.
In her Construction and Commercial Litigation practice, Mea represents a variety of clients—including homeowners, contractors, subcontractors, small businesses, and business executives—in matters involving breach of contract, quiet title claims, and claims regarding breach of fiduciary duty.
Mea earned her J.D. from the University of Arizona James E. Rogers College of Law with certificates in Business Litigation and Transactional Law. While a law student, Mea served as the Executive Editor of the Arizona Journal of Environmental Law and Policy and as a Student Editor of the Journal of Appellate Practice and Policy. Her commitment to academic excellence was recognized and celebrated with the receipt of the CALI Excellence for the Future Award in Mergers and Acquisitions.
Before joining Sacks Tierney, Mea worked at one of the Big Four accounting firms, where she applied her knowledge of tax law to assist with various transactions.
Outside the office, Mea enjoys traveling, reading, fitness, and hiking with her dog, Finn.
