In his trust and estate litigation practice, Cliff has represented fiduciaries and beneficiaries in matters involving will and trust contests, petitions for instruction, recovery of estate assets, breach of fiduciary duty, fiduciary removal proceedings, financial exploitation of vulnerable adults, trust reformation and termination, family settlement agreements, FLP discounts and other valuation disputes, tax allocation and tax exclusion portability disputes, IRS audit proceedings, no contest clause disputes, and other probate and trust administration matters.
Cliff’s diverse civil litigation experience includes real estate development disputes, foreclosures, deficiency actions, commercial lease evictions, business torts, corporate governance disputes, derivative actions, fraudulent transfers, receiverships, bankruptcy litigation, construction litigation, professional malpractice, medical licensing, products liability, environmental and other insurance coverage disputes, and insurance defense cases in both state and federal court.
Cliff, who grew up in Scottsdale and is a graduate of Coronado High School, has handled dozens of appeals and special action proceedings, including oral arguments before the Arizona Supreme Court and the U.S. Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.
